What is the Difference between H1B and EB2 Visas?

Basically, applicants cannot apply for H1B visa; it is the employers who will apply for the said visa to be able to outsource people from other countries. On the other hand, applicants of EB2 visa have to apply for the said visa and submit all the necessary documents to provide proof of their eligibility. Applicants must provide all necessary academic certificates and recognitions related to their field of study for the EB2 visa.

A Guide in the ACS Application

In Australia, IT is a very important job. The ACS or the Australian Computer Society is the professional association in Australia’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. The goal of this society is to help members be the best they can be. It helps its members realize their professional ambitions, gain recognition from their certificate programs and bring new opportunities for growth and development.

The ACS Recognition Application is incorporated within the current ACS skills assessment application types. These have to be undergone by any applicant; (1) Temporary Graduate 485, (2) Post Australian study Skills Assessment, (3) General Skills assessment, and (4) Recognition of prior learning. • All the documents to be submitted must be certified copies of original documents. These should be uploaded to the online application in PDF formats.
• All applications must be final. A completion letter is needed which states the exact date of the completion of academic requirements.
• The application can be completed in about 12 weeks (3 months).

• Only one application can be active at any one time.

What Type of Medical Tests is Required During Visa Processing?

Australia ----------------------

Medical examination, such as chest x-ray, is needed. This will be used to evaluate the applicant’s standard of health. Aside from that, visa applicants have to be immunised against infectious diseases before entering Australia. These immunisations should be done before departure from their home country. Children should be immunised against hepatitis B, diphtheria, pneumococcal and meningococcal infections to name some. Parents are required to bring records of their child’s immunisation when travelling to Australia.

For permanent and temporary visa applicants: medical history, physical examination, urinalysis and chest x-ray.

The United Kingdom ----------------------
 

Only medical examinations done by an Embassy approved physician is authorized in processing. Other physician’s medical examination will not be honoured. Vaccinations are also needed. In addition, applicants must undergo health screening for tuberculosis especially if the applicant comes from high-incident countries of TB, complete blood count, and syphilis test.

New Zealand ----------------------

Applicants for New Zealand need the following medical examinations: physical examination, urinalysis, CXR (chest x-ray), HIV, Syphilis, CBC (complete blood count), hepatitis B antigen, serum creatinine, and glycosylated haemoglobin.

Canada ----------------------

Applicants are required to undergo physical examination, urinalysis, CXR, HIV, and Syphilis screening.

The United States of America  ----------------------

The physical examination is required for all applicants regardless of age. Tuberculin Skin test is needed for applicants from ages 2 to 14. A chest x-ray is required to adult applicants age 15 and up or for those younger children who have been exposed to TB cases or have history of TB disease. Finally, a syphilis test for those 15 and up.

These examinations have to be followed for they are a requirement. Failing to pass the medical exam may halt the processing of the visa; hence, it is best to stay healthy for your medical examination.

How Does the State Sponsorship in Australia Works?

Want to earn more money? Work overseas! This is a sad fact, yet we cannot deny the better benefits given by countries overseas especially about salaries. Most Filipinos who work abroad have left the country due to better salary packages and career development in companies and institutions overseas. Amongst the many countries overseas, English speaking countries are the target of the Filipinos. The reason behind this is that it will not be difficult to communicate in such countries as Filipinos can both use and understand the English language well. One country that has been gaining more and more Filipinos is Australia.

 There are a lot of visa types that Filipinos can apply for. All they have to understand is that they have to be eligible in the visa type that they want. Among the many visa types, how does the state sponsorship in Australia works? What is the state sponsorship visa?

A state sponsorship can be applied by any individual as long they have been nominated by a state or territory in the government of Australia. There are criteria for an individual to be eligible. For example, if a candidate applies for state sponsorship in Western Australia, here is what applicants should do.

· Submit an eligible Expression of Interest (EOI) in the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) SkillSelect database.

For the EOI to be eligibile, one must meet the following:

- A score of at least 60 DIBP points test.

- Evidence of a skills assessment suitable for permanent migration in the nominated occupation

- Have an available nominated occupation in the list of the territories

- Competent English. The applicant must score at least a score of 6 or 7 in Western Australia in each band of the IELTS or the International English Language Testing System examination.

- Age not older than 50 years old.

- Work experience of at least three years

Each territory has its own nominated occupations. Once an individual applies for a certain occupation in a particular territory, they will be assessing your eligibility for the said position. As soon as you are eligible, an invitation will be sent detailing that you are eligible to make an application. The state determines your qualifications based on the requirements and your work experiences.

 

When you are awarded with the said visa, there is a possibility to apply for a permanent resident status after a couple of years living in Australia given you qualify with the criteria for the PR status.
