According to the Manila Bulletin, 700 Filipino nurses are needed for UK and Ireland. Interested applicants are required to pass the IELTS or the International English Language Testing System as well as qualifying exams for nurses to work in the UK and Ireland. Here are few of the requirements:
- Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
- IELTS Score of 7
- Two-part competency examination composed of:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) - can be taken in the Philippines
- Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) - must be taken in UK
