·         Explore the country
Rather than seeing its negative side, take it as an opportunity to explore the country. Go to famous landmarks in the area, visit cafes, go to museums, or join community festivities. Doing this will help you learn a lot more about the place, and enjoy your stay in the country.

·         Find a healthy distraction
Make a list of the things you want to accomplish while you are staying in a foreign country. Make it a goal to tick these things off your list during your stay. You may also join study groups, write a journal, or do other stuff that will keep you from feeling lonely.
