After weeks of preparation
in your IELTS review center Philippines, you
finally take the exam. For the first few hours, you’ll feel overwhelmed with
joy and relief. You’re done with the test! You no longer have to hone your
linguistic skills, answer practice tests, and plan your schedule around your
IELTS training classes.
After the post-exam
happiness wears off, however, you’ll likely have a lot of questions about the
IELTS results process. Where and when can you get your results? For how long
are they valid? What information is included in the IELTS test report form?
Read on to find out the answers to these frequently asked questions and more.
1. When
can I get my IELTS results?
Your
IELTS test report form (TRF) will be available 13 days after your test date.
2. How
can I get my IELTS results?
You
can either pick it up in person at your IELTS center
or make arrangements to receive it by post.
3. What
information is included in the IELTS TRF?
The
IELTS TRF will include your general information (name, birthdate, first
language, country of nationality, etc.) and your general IELTS details (test
center number, candidate number, etc.). And, of course, it’ll include your
listening, reading, writing, and speaking scores, your overall score, and its
CEFR equivalent.
4. Do
I have to submit my original TRF during applications?
Yes,
you do. Most—if not all—educational institutions, government agencies, and
international organizations only accept the original version of the TRF.
5. How
many copies of the IELTS TRF?
You’ll
get five original copies for free. You can name up to five agencies to which
IELTS will send your results on your behalf free of charge. You’ll have to pay
an extra fee if you want to send your TRF to more than five organizations.
6. Can
I access my IELTS results online?
Yes,
you can. IELTS will upload your test results for online viewing 28 days after
your test date. Your IELTS center will give you
a link, or you can check your results in the official websites of the British Council, IDP
IELTS Australia, and IELTS
USA. If you go for the
latter option, you’ll need your candidate number and your IELTS ID or passport
number.
But,
take note, it’s for online viewing only. You can’t screenshot and use it as an
official confirmation of your test performance. For your applications, you need
to submit an original copy of your IELTS TRF.
